Each Thursday students from the institute go to another part of town and work in a children's ministry. Last Thursday I had the opportunity to go and it was a great experience. As there were 15 or so of us together in small van, going over the potholed filled streets, and having people look at us, I thought this feels like home. It reminded me of some of my travels in Mozambique.
We had Bible story time, craft/activity time and play time with the kids. They are kids who are just looking for someone to pay attention to them. It's one of those times when you go, you think when can I do this again.
