| The Kite Festival is celebrated on November 1, All Saints Day. It is based on the Mayan belief that if you attach a note to the kite, fly it over the cemetery, then your dead ancestors/friends can read the notes. If you attach food and the food is returned to you then you can eat the food. It means that the ancestors didn't take the food. The kites range from small to very large. It was a cool day, so I had on layers of clothing and the sweatshirt felt good. |

| One day there was a break in the rains. It was the perfect time to visit the Guatemala City Zoo. It is a really nice zoo. I especially enjoyed riding the turtle! haha |
