Photos of Carol

Just a couple of photos of me for those of you who ask to see photos of me...

Birthday girl

This cute girl was celebrating her birthday on Sunday. We sang to her at the end of the church service on Sunday.

Stores with names

If you travel around enough you can eventually find a store or restaurant or bar which has your name on it. For instance this one has the name of Daphne even though it is spelled differently than the usual American spelling. And I know that there is a small cafe which uses my name, I just don't have a picture of it. By the way the Dafny store is selling used American clothing.

Horses & Cows

Farming is the main occupation for the people in the area where went for the mission trip. Then their transportation is either horses, walking or boats.

Roads in the area

Just thought you would like to see some photos of the roads in the area where we went on the mission trip. Compared to Mozambique roads these were excellent roads. It was funny when we got to the village where we stayed because it was literally the end of the road, it was either stop or go in the river.

Mission trip

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go on a mission trip to a river area of Costa Rica. It was a really good trip. We did door to door survey work. We went and worked with an existing church who wants to minister to people in the next village on the river. So we went door to door and asked for the names, ages and birthdays of people in the household. Also we asked if we could pray for them in anyway and what needs the community may have. Then we were able to leave with them a Gospel of John.

Clean & Dirty River

There is an area outside of Costa Rica where a clean and dirty river meet up. I think you can definitely tell the difference between the clean and dirty one.
