The other weekend I had the opportunity to go with the Millers to visit another missionary family who live in the Coban area. It's about a 4 hour drive from the city. It was a pretty drive. But one of the highlights of the drive besides seeing the beauty of God's creation was the eggnog ice cream that we found at a restaurant in our travels.
It was good to visit with the Thomas family. In February there was a landslide in their area on a road which Jeff travels alot. It was amazing to see how the mountain just divided leaving part tree and part dirt. There was alot of devestation as you can see from the photos.
Seeing the dirt roads and open plains reminded me a lot of Mozambique. It was a good trip and we were treated with such great hospitality by the Thomas family. It was alot of fun.
