Hey,
I thought I would share with you some upcoming dates…
On Thursday of this week, July 30, I’ll have an oral test at the language institute. The lady I’m having it with can be very intimidating. God gave me the idea that I should go in with the attitude of how blessed I am to be able to talk to her because I never have the opportunity to talk to her. It will be at 12:30 my time which is 2:30 pm East Coast time.
On Monday August 1st I’ll have my OPE, oral proficiency test, this is the one that will be given by a lady from my mission. It’s the same type of test that I’ve had each trimester since I’ve been here. It will be at 1 pm my time which is 3 pm East Coast time.
Saturday, August 8th, Kim will come for a visit to be here for graduation and to help me pack for Guatemala. For those of you who really know me, you know I don’t like packing. You would think as much as I travel I would be used to packing. I guess I am but it’s just something I don’t enjoy doing. Plus it sounds like a good excuse for a visit, right? Graduation is Friday August 14th.
Saturday August 15th Kim will leave to fly back to North Carolina and I’ll leave to go to Guatemala. I’ll arrive there in the early afternoon. I’ll be living in the house of a missionary family who will be in the states for a few months. I’ll live in their house while I look for a place of my own. The family will be leaving their cat and dog for me to take care of as well. I am looking forward to having pets to take care of again.
As you can tell the next few weeks have a lot of big things coming up but it is what I’ve been preparing for the past year.
